PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work in 40-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) located in K Tower
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratio
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale experience
• Advanced skills needed: ventilator monitoring
• Trauma experience and pediatric experience required
• Dress code: Surgical green or navy scrubs
• Work with standard PACU equipment and Cerner documentation system
• Schedule: 6-week schedules with 3 call shifts required within each 6-week period
• Float within peri-anesthesia areas (Endoscopy/PreOp/Phase II)
• Support staff: Unit secretary available 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 4 Patient Care Technicians assigned to specific pods who can draw labs, perform catheterizations, and transport patients
