ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a high-volume emergency department with 101 beds
• Patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required with flexibility to meet department needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• Must be open to floating to all sections within the ED; no floating outside of the ED
• Document using Cerner electronic health record system
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Technicians available in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage; unit clerks available days and nights
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards with respectful behavior and consistent patient communication throughout each visit
• Maintain updated patient boards with current information
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Preferred experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with more than 100,000 visits
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality, ability to coach and provide real-time feedback, and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS prior to start date; ENPC within 90 days of hire
