PCU RN Job in Petoskey, MI

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey, MI. This is a temporary position running for 91 days, starting August 24, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work the night shift on a 3x12 schedule with an every-other-weekend requirement. On-call duties are possible. You will care for cardiology and post-operative patients, applying your clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for cardiology patients undergoing procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers
• Care for open heart surgery patients in post-operative recovery
• Manage patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies
• Float to similar units as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of stepdown experience
• Proficiency in cardiac care
• Travel healthcare experience required
• EKG competency required
• Current Michigan nursing license with LARA and Nursys verification
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Skills checklist completion within one year of application

Compensation and Schedule

You will earn $2,592 weekly. This assignment runs for 91 days with nights and every-other-weekend scheduling. Strict attendance policies apply—three strikes for absences or tardiness of more than 20 minutes will result in immediate termination.
