CVOR Technologist Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital Northeast in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week contract position in their cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) department. This is a full-time role working 5 days per week on day shift, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Role Responsibilities:

• Scrub and circulate open heart procedures in a 5-operating room cardiovascular surgery department
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio during assigned cases
• Operate and maintain OR equipment including cautery, video monitors, arthroscopy equipment, and positioning equipment
• Document procedures using the Meditech EMR system
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with a minimum of one night per week and one weekend per 5-week cycle

Requirements:

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated OR circulator experience
• Ability to scrub open heart cases
• Flexibility, compassion, and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, robotic, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, or thoracic procedures.
