Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in Paducah, KY

You will work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Paducah, KY. This is a night shift position (5x8) with a 91-day contract starting June 8, 2026. You will earn $2,960 weekly.

In this role, you will perform nuclear medicine procedures at the technical level with minimal supervision. Your responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily patient flow through the department and coordinate exam assignments
• Apply prescribed ionizing radiation and other forms of energy using independent judgment
• Collect patient histories and coordinate communication with radiologists
• Verify patient identification and follow all department protocols
• Provide patient immobilization and protection in accordance with safety standards
• Monitor patients continuously throughout examinations
• Assist radiologists with exams and invasive procedures as needed
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals under radiologist direction
• Utilize the EPIC system for documentation and workflow management
• Maintain quality control on all assigned instrumentation
• Manipulate computerized image data for interpretation and archiving
• Maintain accurate records of radionuclide receipts, use, storage, and disposal per regulations
• Select and operate Nuclear and PET equipment with proper technical factors
• Assist with equipment calibration and radionuclide assay operation
• Rotate through nuclear cardiology, main nuclear, and PET areas routinely

You will be responsible for all patient records and charting related to individual cases. You may rotate shifts and call as required. This position is ideal for an Allied Health Professional seeking a travel assignment in nuclear medicine with exposure to multiple imaging modalities and departments.
