Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 5 x 8 hour shifts per week with call required
• Must have minimum 2 years of CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience
• 5 years of overall experience required
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, CST, NBSTSA, or NCCT
• Must have license in-hand with submission
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• 8 hours of orientation provided
• Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and other surgical procedures
• Set up operating rooms and prepare patients for surgery
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgical team
• Help count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments
• Work with patients of all ages including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist for 8-12 hours during shifts
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more of equipment and assist with patient lifting up to 125 pounds
• Must respond quickly in emergency situations and handle critical situations with composure
• Float to Main Hall as required
• Weekend coverage dependent on CVOR needs
