Med Surg RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical Neuro unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• Three 12.5-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $2,213.64

Required Credentials and Certifications

• Current RN license
• NIH certification
• BLS certification
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Adult and Child)

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical neuro setting, managing patient assessments, treatments, and nursing interventions. Your responsibilities will include monitoring patient vital signs and responses to treatment, administering medications and therapies as ordered, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure quality outcomes.
