PCU Float RN Job in Wichita Falls, TX

United Regional is seeking a registered nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in their Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, earning $2,099.52 weekly with a 72-hour biweekly guarantee.

Schedule & Expectations

• 84 hours biweekly with alternating 36/48-hour blocks (the facility may consider straight 48s)
• Night shift patient ratios of 6 patients per RN
• Floating between Med-Surg and PCU units as needed
• Weekend availability required, potentially including most weekends during your contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated; set schedules are not approved

Role Details

You will care for adult and geriatric patients with medical-surgical and PCU overflow diagnoses. Your responsibilities include cardiac telemetry monitoring, IV drip management, wound care, tracheostomy care, and various medical procedures. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Requirements

• Current RN license in hand before your start date of July 13, 2026
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical and religious exemptions only)
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Availability to complete lab work within 72 hours of accepting the offer
