Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Tuesday through Friday schedule; facility may consider 5x8s Monday through Friday
• Shift hours: 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Call required with response to call within 30 minutes
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sonographer required; 2 years preferred
• Graduate of an Ultrasound/Sonography program required
• Arkansas Radiology license in good standing required
• Required certifications: ARDMS, ARRT, BLS, and current CPR
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Perform Sonography exams in the department, surgery, emergency department, and patient floors
• Perform ultrasound-guided procedures including breast biopsy, thyroid biopsy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Conduct a wide range of ultrasound studies including obstetrics, vascular, abdominal, and breast imaging
• Operate Siemens ultrasound equipment with appropriate transducers for varying patient populations
• Serve patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
