Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday with variable shift times of either 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Float between two locations, working 2 days per week at Northwest Hospital and 3 days per week at Sinai Hospital
• Average daily census of approximately 7 to 15 specimens per day
• At Northwest Hospital, provide adequacy checks for FNA, EBUS, and ION procedures performed in the OR
• At Sinai Hospital, assist with FNA procedures throughout the hospital and perform slide screening
• 3 years of Cytotechnologist experience required
• Inpatient laboratory experience required
• Fine Needle Aspiration experience required, including assisting with procedures, collection, smear preparation, preliminary diagnosis, and staining
• Experience providing on-site adequacy assessments required
• Non-gynecological cytology experience required, including ascitic fluid, esophageal, gastric, spinal, and respiratory specimens
• Experience with bronchial and urine specimens required
• Quality control and quality assurance and specimen labeling and identification experience required
• SurePath and ThinPrep experience required
• GMS, iron, and PAP staining experience required
• ASCP-CT certification required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Scrubs are provided at Northwest Hospital only; no specific color requirement at Sinai Hospital
• One pre-approved time-off request permitted per contract
