Oncology RN Job in Dallas, TX

Medical City Dallas is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment on the Oncology unit. You will work the night shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., three days per week at $1,651 weekly pay. Tuesday starts are required.

Unit Overview

The Oncology unit spans floors 9/10 South in the South Tower and comprises 41 beds. Night shift staffing includes one charge nurse, up to five RNs, and one PCT per floor. You will work a rotating weekend schedule with no on-call responsibilities.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage patient care with an estimated ratio of 4:1, with a maximum of 5:1
• Operate Baxter pumps and document care within the Meditech EMR system
• Perform daily blood and electrolyte replacement procedures
• Execute sterile dressing changes while maintaining strong infection prevention protocols
• Demonstrate solid understanding of blood and electrolyte replacement protocols
• Provide care to patients with ports and central lines
• Work collaboratively as part of a team-centered approach to patient care

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• General Medical Oncology understanding preferred
• Familiarity with ports and central lines preferred
• Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs monogrammed with hospital name and hospital-approved jackets
