Respiratory Therapist Job in Rochester, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. You'll work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 4 weekend rotating shifts per month and on-call responsibilities.

What You'll Do

• Float across different units and work with patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform adult critical care and emergency department procedures including intubation assist, extubation, and airway management
• Place and manage nasal and oral airways, handle suctioning, and provide tracheostomy care and management
• Operate ventilators including hand-held, T-piece, trach collar, bag and mask, and ET tube delivery systems
• Manage high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, and CPAP; troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and assist with mechanical ventilation weaning
• Treat patients with CHF, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and respiratory infections
• Perform ABG sampling, ventilator management, patient assessments, medication administration, and pulmonary hygiene
• Work with specialized equipment: Hamilton Vent, Servo-U, NKV330, V60, Servo ventilators, and Aerogen nebulizers
• Chart in the EPIC system

What We Need From You

• Current RRT certification and active respiratory therapy license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Proficiency with EPIC charting

What We Offer

Weekly pay: $2,159.14. Contract begins July 6, 2026. You'll receive 24 hours of orientation to get up to speed with facility protocols and equipment.
