CVOR Technologist Job in Springfield, OR

McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. This is a travel position offering a 91-day assignment starting September 21, 2026.

Position Overview

As a CVOR Technologist, you will support complex cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. You will work 4x10-hour day shifts and earn $2,332 per week. On-call availability is required with approximately 4 on-call shifts per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, including sterile field setup, surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions
• Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during procedures
• Prepare and manage specialized surgical equipment throughout cases
• Simultaneously manage the sterile field and surgical specimens
• Perform sponge and supply counts to prevent retained foreign objects
• Float to Sterile Processing or inpatient floor as a sitter if OR volume is low

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from a CAAHEP-accredited program or equivalent programmatically-accredited surgical technology program
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technology experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience required

Important Note

Local candidates will not be accepted for this travel position. You must be willing to relocate to Springfield, Oregon for the duration of this assignment.
