Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM<br>• Maintain 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratios for adult patients<br>• Care for 33-bed ICU unit with average daily census of 16 patients<br>• Treat patients with trauma, cardiac conditions, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress<br>• Required to titrate drips including cardiac medications, insulin, and sedation<br>• Must be able to read, interpret, and document telemetry strips<br>• Float to PCU and occasionally Med-Surg units maintaining typical ratios (1:4 or 1:5)<br>• Work every other weekend (Saturdays and Sundays)<br>• Minimum requirement of 2 holidays during contract timeframe<br>• Complete 1 shift of unit-specific orientation<br>• Pass mandatory open-book skills exam on Wednesdays during orientation with 90% score required<br>• Must respond within 30 minutes if called back from on-call status<br>• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS<br>• Driver's license required at submittal<br>• Must be located outside 50-mile radius of facility<br>• Artificial nails prohibited - contract termination for refusal to remove<br>• Chart in EPIC system<br>• RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a 33-bed intensive care unit providing critical care services to the community. The facility is a Level 2 trauma center offering comprehensive acute care services with modern monitoring equipment and telemetry capabilities.
