Radiation Therapist Job in Chapel Hill, NC

Join the University of North Carolina Health Care System as a Radiation Therapist. You'll deliver evidence-based radiation therapy across a variety of treatment modalities while working within a collaborative oncology team.

Your responsibilities include:

• Administer radiation therapy according to physician instructions and individualized patient treatment plans
• Operate and adjust radiation equipment, enter treatment data into computer systems, and regulate dosage settings
• Assist physicians, radiation oncologists, and clinical physicists in preparing physical and technical aspects of treatment plans
• Construct and customize patient immobilization devices as ordered
• Perform routine and complex treatments including total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and brachytherapy (low and high dose)
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for each patient
• Maintain accurate patient records, billing documentation, and departmental files including radiation dosages, equipment settings, and patient reactions
• Implement quality assurance procedures according to state and federal guidelines
• Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment to ensure patient, personal, and workplace safety
• Provide clinical instruction and evaluation to student radiation therapists

Position details: Clinic hours run 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with shifts varying within those hours. This is a 10-hour shift role. Elekta equipment experience is preferred. The assignment runs 89 days, with a start date of September 28, 2026.

Compensation: $2,414 weekly pay.
