RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 14-bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU/CVICU)
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Manage 1-2 patients per assignment with diagnoses including CABGs, valve repair/replacements, aortic surgeries, VADs, total artificial hearts, and heart/liver/kidney transplants
• Manage thoracic cases including esophagectomy and vascular surgeries
• Perform invasive hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive IV medications
• Provide post-op recovery care and oversee circulatory assist devices including Heartmate II and III LVAD, CentriMag RVAD/LVAD, Heartware HVAD, ECMO, CRRT, IABP, and Total Artificial Heart
• Operate special equipment including Endotool and NXSTAGE CRRT
• Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; CSICU/CVICU experience at a Level I facility required
• Level I trauma experience and academic facility experience required
• EPIC charting experience required, no exceptions
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required skills: CRRT, IABP, post-op cardiothoracic surgery recovery, ECMO, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, conscious sedation, pulmonary artery lines, telemetry, and ventilator management
• BSN preferred
• VA or compact state license required
• Natural nail policy in effect
• Candidates may be required to float within scope as needed
