X-Ray Technician Job in Mount Clemens, MI

McLaren Macomb is seeking an X-Ray Technician for a temporary assignment. You will work evenings on a 5x8 schedule, with every other weekend required and possible on-call responsibilities. This 91-day position begins June 15, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and participate in computerized tomography scanning procedures
• Set up, monitor, and operate complex diagnostic imaging equipment
• Position patients using accepted safety standards and proper lifting techniques
• Apply immobilization devices as needed
• Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously to appropriate patients
• Capture, develop, and maintain diagnostic images for permanent patient records
• Record all studies on magnetic tape for future reference
• Organize daily patient schedules in cooperation with work-room technicians
• Maintain image quality according to department guidelines
• Perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment
• Handle electronic and digital image capture, storage, transfer, and copying
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and respond appropriately
• Assist with emergency medical situations, including basic CPR
• Ensure radiation safety protection for yourself and patients
• Maintain a clean working environment and manage department inventory
• Support radiologists and physician specialists during specialized procedures
• Review and record pertinent patient history and clinical data

Requirements:

• 2+ years of X-ray or operating room experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ARRT certification
• Michigan license verification required
• Traveler experience preferred

Weekly pay is $2,246.40.
