About this role
You will work as a Registered Nurse in a telemetry float pool covering Zone 1 within a 60-mile radius of Colorado Springs. This is a 91-day travel assignment with CSH Mountain Region - CO Float, offering 3x12-hour night shifts (3:00 PM to 3:00 AM) at $2,417.76 weekly, starting July 6, 2026.
Schedule & Logistics
- Work across five facilities within the zone with no single home base
- Assignments communicated 1–2 hours before shift start via call (just-in-time scheduling)
- Schedules released 4–6 weeks in advance
- 6–9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
- All time-off requests must be submitted before your assignment begins
Clinical Requirements & Scope
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience required; neurological experience preferred
- Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
- Float among general medical-surgical telemetry, cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, renal, bariatrics, orthopedic, trauma, and emergency department observation units
- Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, oncology, renal, post-surgical, and general medicine diagnoses
- May float to different acuity levels including ICU, PCU/step-down, and medical-surgical telemetry
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 based on acuity
- Titrate heparin drips as part of clinical responsibilities
- Use EPIC charting system
- Rare call or standby requirements for low census
You must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple units and facility locations. This float pool role requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to quickly orient to different patient populations and care settings.
