Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work night shifts in a 17-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with 1:4 patient ratio
• 36 or 48 hours available per week for 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Up to 40 hours approved for time off (no time off available Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day)
• Must have Epic charting system experience
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Must adhere to facility float policy within scope of practice
• Virginia license can be submitted pending but must be in hand Wednesday before start date
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• BSN preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• 40-hour orientation provided
• Care for patients from Emergency Department, Medical ICU, clinics, outside hospitals, or nursing facilities
• Treat wide range of medical diagnoses including diabetes, sickle cell crisis, COPD exacerbations, ESRD with pulmonary hypertension, wounds, drains, and tubes
• Work with overhead ceiling lifts and peritoneal dialysis equipment
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounding with physicians, social work, case management, and pharmacy
