ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekend requirements as scheduled
• Available shift times: 6:15 AM - 6:45 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 6:15 PM - 6:45 AM
• Every-other-weekend requirement (Saturday/Sunday for both days and nights)
• Work in holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Preferred certifications: PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Patient ratios: 1:4 in Main ER, 1:5 in 5-bed lower acuity area, 1:4-6 in Fast Track
• No floating outside of the emergency department
• 1-2 shifts orientation with preceptor
• Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)
• Royal blue scrubs required
• No false nails policy
• Use EPIC charting system
• Care for typical ER patients including chest pain, respiratory failure, abdominal pain, 15% pediatric population, occasional trauma cases
• Major traumas are stabilized and transferred to Level 1 Trauma Center
