PCU Registered Nurse Job in Atlanta, GA

Northside Hospital Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 12-week travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will work the night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, on a 3x12 schedule.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in an intermediate care environment, supporting patients who require close monitoring and varying levels of respiratory support. Your responsibilities include:

• Care for intermediate medical and high-risk respiratory patients
• Manage patients in the pulmonary thoracic intermediate/step-down unit
• Support patients recovering from cardiac thoracic, hepatobiliary, and head/neck surgeries
• Deliver respiratory support ranging from room air to BIPAP or Optiflow systems
• Work with diverse patient populations requiring individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within specialty
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• NIHSS certification (preferred)

Assignment Details

This 12-week assignment begins June 22, 2026. You will earn $1,759.71 per week. The night shift schedule allows you to develop expertise in intermediate care while maintaining work-life balance.
