Physical Therapist Assistant Job in White River Junction, VT

White River Junction Team is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist. You will work on a days shift for a 112-week assignment beginning September 9, 2026, at $1,898 weekly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide physical therapy services in accordance with agency policies and state practice standards
• Treat patients as prescribed by physician, following the plan of care developed with the supervising Physical Therapist
• Use physical means such as exercise, massage, heat, water, light, and electricity to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum performance
• Direct and aid patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait and functional training, and activities of daily living including transfer activities
• Provide prosthetic training as needed
• Operate equipment such as ultraviolet and infrared lamps, low voltage generation, diathermy, and ultrasonic machines
• Observe, record, and report patient reactions to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques and activities
• Complete and submit accurate clinical notes and required documentation in a timely manner

Required qualifications:

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in Vermont and New Hampshire or compact license
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• One year of experience as a PTA in a home health care setting is preferred
