RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Float position covering multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for all ICU shifts
• Will float to inpatient floors when needed with a ratio of no more than 1:3
• May be utilized as a patient sitter if needed when census is low in ICU
• Every other weekend requirement or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, plus holiday rotation
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required
• 1 year CV ICU experience required
• First-time travelers will not be accepted
• Charting system: EPIC (past EPIC experience strongly preferred)
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Free parking available
• Required skills: Vents, IV start, Tele, Conscious Sedation, Fresh post open heart experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: Chemo, CCRN, ONS, TNCC, CPI
• Preferred skills: Swan/hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, Vasoactive drips, CRRT, Triage, ICP, PA lines, Level 1 Trauma Experience
• Special equipment used: Impella, CRRT, Arctic Sun/Gaymar
• Patient diagnoses include: Acute Stroke, TPA administration, Acute Respiratory Failure, COVID+, Pneumonia, and Fresh post open heart
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• Patient age groups served: Adults and Geriatrics
