Opportunity:

Laboratory - Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Details:

• Must have experience in smaller acute care setting and work as a generalist in all departments
• Variable scheduling with possible shift start times: 7:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 11:00 PM
• Weekend coverage required - could be every weekend or every other weekend depending on census and staffing
• 2 years of experience required for submission
• Travel experience required
• 80 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS, ACSP-CLS, CA CPT, CA CLS License
• Epic experience preferred
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in complex, fast-paced environment
• Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory testing including Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, and Microbiology
• Required knowledge of clinical chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microscopy, coagulation, and transfusion service
• Supervise MLT and CPT staff and provide functional guidance to all lab staff
• Interpret clinical values and document critical values per policy to appropriate licensed staff
• Serve patients of all ages from neonates to geriatrics in 49-bed facility with daily census of 25
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• 7-year work history verification required
