Job Details:

• Day shift hours may vary
• Every other weekend required unless specified otherwise
• No call requirements
• Holiday coverage required - if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
• Required certifications: ASCP, ASCP-CT
• Perform analytical procedures requiring professional-level knowledge to execute, interpret, and analyze results, particularly those that are abnormal or atypical
• Required skills include: inpatient lab, outpatient lab, Autocyte, conventional, HP DNA test, SurPath, ThinPrep, Ascitic Fluid, Esophageal, Gastric, Spinal, Thin-Prep, staining, quality control/quality assurance, and specimen labeling/identification
• Electronic health record system: Epic
• Scrub color: Teal
• Floating is rare and limited within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract
• Block scheduling type
