Interventional Radiology RN Job in Columbia, MO

You will work as an RN in Interventional Radiology at Boone Health in Columbia, Missouri. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026, with rotating shifts Monday through Friday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 AM and Saturday through Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, including holidays. You will receive $3,124 weekly.

Your primary responsibilities include performing head-to-toe patient assessments, recognizing and responding to complications, and implementing radiation safety measures. You will explain procedures to patients and families, communicate with team members and radiologists about patient needs, and maintain a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio during procedural sedation. You must be capable of making critical decisions quickly in time-sensitive situations and adjusting to new environments while managing multiple responsibilities.

Core Procedures:

• Port placements and removals
• Tunneled and non-tunneled line placements and removals
• CT-guided biopsies (liver, lung, deep bone, bone marrow, renal, lymph node)
• Chest tube placements
• CT-guided drain placements
• IVC filter placements and removals
• Nephrostomy tubes
• Neurovascular intervention for stroke

Additional Procedures: Procedural sedation for MRI, port access and deaccess, MRI defibrillator and cardiac device monitoring, chemo embolizations, and uterine artery embolizations.

Required Skills: IV insertion, PICC and central line management, vascular device access and care, tele interpretation, cardioversion and defibrillation, procedural sedation, and circulating in OR and OBGYN settings.

Preferred Skills: CVP monitoring and sheath removal.

Common Medications: Versed, Fentanyl, Cefazolin, Levaquin, Lidocaine, and Nitroglycerin Spray. Note: You will not manage Propofol drips or pressors.

Equipment: Computer, ISTAT, ACT machine, Penumbra, IV pump, and vital sign monitoring equipment.

Minimum two years of neuro experience is preferred. Within your 13-week contract, you may experience downstaffing of 36 to 48 hours based on the weekly schedule.
