Respiratory Therapist Job in Fredericksburg, VA

You'll work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist on night shift (3x12) at Mary Washington Hospital, providing aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and lung inflation treatments across multiple patient care settings.

Your responsibilities include:

• Float assignments to NICU, ER, Adult ICU, and Step-Down units based on facility needs
• Manage airway care, medication administration, arterial blood gas draws and analysis, and O2 therapy
• Implement and manage CPAP/BiPAP; perform suctioning and pulmonary toileting
• Work with Servo U and Servo Air ventilators
• Provide care to patients from neonates through geriatrics
• Serve as Team Lead and assume charge responsibilities as needed
• Complete charting in Epic system
• Attend monthly department meetings or review minutes and acknowledge
• Rotate every other weekend and every other holiday
• Potential for mandatory on-call (approximately 2 shifts per month)

Requirements:

• Current BLS and CRTT certification; VA respiratory therapist license
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of your start date
• Minimum 2 years respiratory therapy experience; 4 years preferred
• Proven travel healthcare experience
• Experience with airway management, ABG draws, nebulizers, and ventilator care
• Epic charting system proficiency
• Ability to work with patients across all age groups and acuity levels

Preferred: NRP and RRT certifications.

You'll complete up to 8 hours of required non-billable training modules within your first week. Wine-colored scrubs are required. This assignment runs 91 days, beginning May 19, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,918.08.
