Med Surg RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a Med Surg RN to join the orthopedic trauma unit in Rochester, NY. This is a 96-week travel assignment with a start date of July 6, 2026, offering $2,368.08 per week.

Role Overview

You will work 12-hour shifts as part of a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, and nights. Your schedule will include weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback shifts as needed. You may float to different units and assume charge nurse responsibilities based on unit needs.

Clinical Focus

Your specialty will be orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses. You will provide direct patient care, monitor vital signs via telemetry, and collaborate with surgeons and the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery and surgical outcomes.

Requirements

• Current New York RN license (NY licenses only accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications

• Level 1 trauma facility experience
