Medical Unit CNA Job in Kealakekua, HI

Kona Community Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our acute care team on our medical and surgical telemetry floors. You will provide direct patient care support in a fast-paced, monitored environment where your contributions make a real difference in patient outcomes.

Role Overview

You will work across two acute care floors equipped with telemetry monitoring capabilities. Your responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, maintaining patient comfort, supporting nursing staff with patient care tasks, and responding to patient requests promptly. You may also be assigned to work as a sitter when clinical needs require it.

Shift Structure

This position offers rotating shifts with flexibility built in. You will have the opportunity to work a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, with both day and night shift options available. Rotating schedules allow you to gain experience across different times of day and patient populations.

Required Qualifications

• Current CNA certification
• One year of acute care experience preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts including days and nights
