About this role
Children's Medical Center Dallas is seeking a Medical Assistant for a 364-day travel assignment in pediatric medicine. You will work 3x12-hour day shifts at $1,620 weekly, beginning June 15, 2026.
Role Overview
You will provide direct medical care to critically ill pediatric patients with single and multi-organ illnesses in a clinical setting. Your responsibilities include performing essential bedside procedures and supporting the care team in a dynamic pediatric healthcare environment.
Schedule & Logistics
- 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Self-scheduling in 4-week blocks with minimum 6 shifts per block
- Weekend, night, and holiday work shared equally among team members
- Potential float between Dallas and Plano campuses
- In-house night call responsibilities for team members post-orientation
- Hours not guaranteed during orientation week or facility closures
- No orientation offered the last Monday of each month
Required Qualifications
- Allied Health Professional degree (Medical Assistant credential)
- Texas PA License, PAC-PA, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Critical care experience required (CICU, CVICU, NICU, ER backgrounds considered)
- Demonstrated competency with arterial line placement, central venous line placement, chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, and PICC placement
