Med Surg RN Job in Charleston, SC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment at MUSC Health Charleston. You will work 3x12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) on a medical-surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric patients.

Role and Responsibilities

• Care for patients admitted for traumatic and orthopedic injuries, general surgery, plastic surgery, and elective spine surgery
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• Work every other weekend and holidays as needed

Required Skills and Equipment

• Chest tubes, colostomy/ileostomy management, heparin administration, and isolation precautions
• Orthopedic trauma care, wound care, and wound vac management
• Experience with NG tubes, chest tubes, lumbar drains, and perc drains
• Computerized documentation using EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Current South Carolina RN license (must be obtained before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Complete non-billable pre-start modules (approximately 4 hours)
• Available for emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)

Schedule and Compensation

• Assignment begins June 29, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,762.56
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks per guaranteed hours policy
