About this role

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at a major medical center in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a 98-week travel assignment with a 3x12 day shift schedule, working 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with weekend coverage required.

Pay and Schedule

  • Weekly pay: $2,332.80
  • Shift: Three 12-hour days per week
  • Start date: July 6, 2026
  • 40 hours of orientation required

Role Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care to cardiac and post-operative cardiac surgery patients. You may accept fresh or cardiac patients directly from the Operating Room and manage overflow patients as assigned. Float to other units, including the Emergency Department, may be required; patient ratios will depend on unit needs.

Clinical Skills Required

  • Arterial line management and blood gas interpretation
  • Central line and CVP monitoring
  • Ventilator and BiPAP/CPAP management
  • Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Post-cardiac surgery care
  • Pulmonary artery line and Swan Ganz monitoring
  • IABP, Impella, TAVR, and ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD) care
  • CVVHD/CRRT, epicardial pacing wire, and valve repair/replacement support
  • IV insulin protocols and blood product administration

Qualifications

  • Current RN license (Maryland or Compact state)
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CALS
  • 16-hour Maryland Approved Trauma Certification required by week 27
  • Cerner charting system experience preferred

Support Services

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services.
