NICU Registered Nurse Job in Portland, OR

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement includes 3 Saturdays and 3 Sundays within a 6-week schedule period
• At least 1 holiday required - either July 4th or Labor Day
• No on-call requirements
• Guaranteed contracted hours with mandatory low census cancellation terms - must cancel 1.5 hours before shift start; personnel may be mandatorily cancelled one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including PICU, Pediatric Acute (Infants floor), or NICU Overflow Location - refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
• Care for patients within the scope of competency for patients less than one year of age
• Patient population includes neonates admitted from L&D, ED, or transferred from other hospitals requiring specialist services and intensive care
• NICU operates three different levels of care with a daily census of 28 and 45 beds
• Perform specialized procedures including attending high-risk deliveries, neonatal PICC placements, exchange transfusions, body cooling, and CRRT
• Operate specialized equipment including neonatal beds, Neopuff, and NicView cameras
• Chart using Epic - Epic experience required
• Scrub color: any color except black and camouflage
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required; previous travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Active Oregon State license required or proof of Oregon license application and fingerprinting required at time of submission
• One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required with submission
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted; no RTO during the first week of the assignment; all RTO must be included at time of submission
• Travelers are required to complete any assigned education within one week of assignment
• Cannot reside within 50 miles of any Legacy facility
