PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a registered nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a travel position that offers you the opportunity to provide specialized nursing care in an intermediate-level care setting.

About the Role

As a PCU nurse, you'll care for patients who require more intensive monitoring than general medical-surgical units provide, but less than intensive care units require. You'll be part of a team of 5 nurses filling vacant positions, working to ensure each patient receives appropriate intermediate-level care and monitoring.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions continuously and report changes to the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members on patient care plans
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
• Provide direct patient care and support to those transitioning between acute and less intensive settings
