Radiation Therapist Job in San Angelo, TX

Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, TX is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 5x8 days at $2,880 weekly, starting May 18, 2026.

About the Role

You'll treat an adult outpatient population with a daily census of 31 patients, performing approximately 31 visits per day across 2 treatment rooms. Your responsibilities include delivering External Beam Therapy, IMRT, and other advanced radiation techniques while maintaining strict radiation safety protocols and respiratory gating knowledge.

Equipment & Technology

You'll work with 2 Varian Edge TrueBeams equipped with CBCT/kV/MV OBI imaging. Experience or familiarity with the following is expected:

• ARIA treatment planning system
• CBCT/kV/mV imaging
• IMRT and VMAT procedures
• AlignRt and DIBH techniques
• SBRT procedures

Experience with TrueBeam, Varis-Vision/ARIA, Vision RT, and Siemens goOpenPro CT Simulation is preferred. You'll also handle billing for treatment types and devices.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience strongly preferred; minimum 2 years accepted
• Graduation from an accredited radiology program
• ARRT (T) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Travel experience highly preferred

What to Expect

You'll receive 16 hours of orientation and join an existing team of 4 Radiation Therapists. The facility operates an active outpatient radiation oncology program. Start date is on or near May 4, 2026.
