ICU RN Job in Saint Louis, Missouri

Mercy Hospital South is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment in their Intensive Care Unit. You will work nights on a 22-bed Cardiac Medical ICU unit, caring for critically ill patients with cardiac and medical conditions.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (to be specified on submission)
• Every other weekend as required by facility
• No on-call responsibilities
• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift; full-week availability required for orientation

Patient Care and Environment

• Patient ratio: 1:2 on the ICU unit
• May float to other step-down units based on staffing needs
• Focus on cardiac medical patients: arrhythmias, STEMI, post-arrest
• Manage critical conditions including sepsis, respiratory failure, GI bleed, DKA, PE, renal failure, liver failure, pancreatitis, overdose, and suicidal ideations
• Work with specialized equipment: Impella, IABP, Prismax CRRT, Zoll internal cooling device, Arctic Sun
• Use EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Current Missouri RN license or eligible for Missouri licensure
• 3 years Cardiac Medical ICU experience (inpatient only)
• BLS and ACLS from AHA required; NIHSS required
• TNCC preferred
• CVI experience recovering open hearts directly from OR preferred
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1

Facility Expectations

• Black scrubs required; no hats, non-facility jackets/sweatshirts, or air pods

Assignment Details

• Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Start date: June 21, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,365.20
