Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Atlanta, GA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Acute Recovery Unit (ARU), providing pre- and post-care for patients in the cardiac catheterization lab and electrophysiology departments at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. This is a 4x10 day shift position with a start date of June 29, 2026, and a 84-day contract duration.

Role and Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a 42-room unit with daily census of 20–35 patients
• Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1 across days, nights, and weekends
• Perform pre- and post-catheterization procedures, including sheath pulls and TR band management
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and obtain 12-lead EKGs
• Float within facility scope of practice as assigned
• No weekend coverage or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Current RN license in Georgia or Compact state at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Demonstrated competency in isolation precautions, PPE protocols, pre-op medications, and glucometer and iStat use
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital and Trauma Level I facility background preferred

Contract Details

• Weekly pay: $2,563.20
• 20 hours of orientation provided
• Maximum 7 days RTO (required time off) per contract; must be finalized at submission
• Holiday work requirements apply based on the number of major holidays during your assignment period
• Compliance documents must be completed by the Tuesday prior to your start date
• Unit does not accommodate travel pairs
