ICU RN Job in Lafayette, LA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the ICU at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. This is a 56-week travel assignment beginning May 11, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,044.80.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 hour night shifts
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Two pre-approved time off days allowed
• No call-ins permitted

Role Responsibilities

• Manage complex ICU patients including ventilated patients, central lines, arterial lines, and various monitoring equipment
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 1:2 patient ratio
• May be assigned to Emergency Team during critical events with expectation to remain at facility

Requirements

• Louisiana nursing license required (Compact accepted)
• 2 years of experience required in specialty
• Travel experience required—will not accept first-time travelers
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• NURSYS report required with submission

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC (Trauma Nurse certification)
• Trauma Level I and II experience
• Epic charting system experience

Additional Details

• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Royal blue scrubs required
