PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work as float pool staff caring for post surgical, medical, PCU stepdown patients on inpatient units and ER hold patients
• Expected to float throughout the hospital including the Emergency Department
• Patient ratios of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No call responsibilities
• 12 hours of orientation required
• 2 years of experience required - does not accept first time travelers
• Travel experience required
• GA or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must work assigned holidays per facility policy
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed per contract
• All compliance documents due Tuesday prior to start date
• Must complete core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Skills required include cardiac telemetry, ventilated patient care, central line management, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation, and various drip management
