PACU Registered Nurse Job in Philadelphia, PA

Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is a 13-week travel assignment offering three 12-hour day shifts per week, scheduled from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM.

Shift and Schedule Details

• Three 12-hour shifts per week as your primary schedule
• On-call requirements: two 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, plus one 12-hour weekend shift on a 6-week rotation
• One summer and one winter on-call holiday required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Experience and Certification Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years in Critical Care or PACU
• Level I Trauma experience and ICU background required
• Active ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and PATNCC certifications
• Current travel healthcare experience required
• Charge experience and SICU/MICU/CTICU background preferred

Clinical Responsibilities

You will care for a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics with a 2:1 patient ratio. Your role involves post-operative and post-procedural management, including arterial line placement, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz monitoring, vasopressor titration, ICP monitoring, and conscious sedation administration. You may float to Surgical Procedural Unit (SPU), GI services, and the Pain Center as needed.

Case Types

You will work with complex surgical and interventional cases including craniotomies, liver and kidney transplants, gynecological and urological procedures, ENT cases, cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and Level I Trauma patients.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,418. Contract duration is 91 days with a start date of November 2, 2026.
