PCU Registered Nurse Job in Sioux City, IA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at UnityPoint - St. Luke's Downtown in Sioux City, IA. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026, on a days schedule working 3 shifts of 12 hours each week.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care and clinical management as part of the interdisciplinary team
• Contribute your professional nursing knowledge and skills to support patient outcomes
• May float within the same discipline to other local campuses, including the Emergency Department as needed

Schedule and Compensation:

You will work every other weekend with no on-call responsibilities. Weekly pay is $2,280.96.

Requirements:

• Current Iowa state nursing license
• Valid driver's license
• Minimum 2 years of previous step-down unit experience
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of your submission date
• One supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Taxable address must be located outside 50 miles from the facility

The facility uses the EPIC electronic medical record system. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. You will be part of a progressive care team supporting patients who require close monitoring and skilled nursing intervention between intensive care and general medical-surgical settings.
