Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call coverage required 2 days per week and every other weekend
• Must respond to call within 30 minutes
• Minimum 2 years of related experience as a Sonographer required
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Will consider traveler with outpatient ultrasound experience
• Required certifications: ARDMS, ARRT, and current CPR/BLS
• Must be graduate of an Ultrasound/Sonography program
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Perform quality imaging of patients to aid in diagnosis and continuum of care
• Assist Radiologist with examinations
• Work with patients of all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle approximately 40 visits per day with average daily census of 350 within Radiology department
• Work in 3 ultrasound rooms with Siemens ultrasound equipment
• Perform specialized procedures including ultrasound guided breast biopsy, thyroid biopsy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Must have ability to stand and walk, bend, squat and twist, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
• Spend eight or more hours performing sonography exams in department, surgery, emergency department, and patient floors
• Must handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure
• 3 hours of orientation provided
