OR Nurse Job in Grand Island, NE

CHI Health St Francis in Grand Island, NE is hiring an RN for the Operating Room. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting May 11, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Work 5 days per week on 8-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities: 1 night per week, every 5th or 6th weekend, and rotating holiday call
• Weekly pay: $2,978.40

Role Responsibilities

You will work across 7 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites, handling diverse surgical cases including neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, general surgery, and DaVinci robotics. You will care for adult, geriatric, pediatric, and obstetric patients. Because the facility does not have specialized surgical teams for each service line, you must be well-versed in all surgical procedures. You may float to Pre/Post-op, PACU (if trained), and ER for trauma cases as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Valid driver's license and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Pass an open-book skills exam on Friday during orientation with a 90% score to continue in the role
• One week of OR-specific orientation required
• Artificial nails are prohibited; refusal to remove will result in contract termination

Assignment Details
