Respiratory Therapist Job in Hamilton, NY

Community Memorial Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Hamilton, NY. You'll work three consecutive 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, providing direct patient care and respiratory support across the facility.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Interview and examine patients with cardiopulmonary disorders to assess respiratory status
• Consult with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans
• Monitor and record treatment progress, maintaining accurate and timely documentation in patient charts
• Deliver therapies including chest physiotherapy and aerosol treatments
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment with proficiency

Position requirements:

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• CRT and RRT licensure
• Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program with successful completion of certification exam
• Proficiency with office equipment including computers, telephones, fax machines, and copiers

Physical demands:

This role requires prolonged standing and/or sitting throughout your shift. You may need to bend, stoop, or stretch infrequently, and lift up to 20 pounds regularly. Strong eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are essential for equipment operation and patient care tasks.

The position requires schedule flexibility to accommodate occasional early or late meetings as needed by the facility. This is an 89-day assignment starting November 23, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,454.
