RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays with every other weekend required
• 36 or 48-hour contract options available with overtime after 48 hours for 4x12 shifts
• Care for patients who have undergone bone and joint reconstructive surgery, joint replacement, orthopedic trauma surgery, or sports injuries
• Handle medical/surgical overflow patients with remote telemetry monitoring
• Maintain patient ratios typically 1:4 but may occasionally flex to 1:5
• Work under a team nursing model with patients 18 years and older
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• Minimum 2 years RN experience and at least 1 year specialty experience required
• Required certifications: BCLS (ACLS and NIH preferred)
• Must have experience with telemetry, IV starts, cardiac drips (Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Argatroban, Amiodarone, Dopamine), CPMs, Orthopat, Constavac, Hemovac, Wound Vacs, and traction
• WV or Compact license required with pending licenses accepted
• Must maintain permanent address over 100 miles from facility
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White

• Charting system: Cerner
• 16-hour orientation held every other Thursday and Friday
