Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Perform the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population specific characteristics including age, gender, and disease
• Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate methods such as bedside shift report, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching
• Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care through interdisciplinary communication methods
• Participate in performance improvement activities and support shared governance at all levels
• Serve as preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses, staff, or students
• Participate in data collection and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources
• Associate's or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications upon hire: RN license (Single State or Multi-State Compact), BLS (AHA), ARC-BLS, or BLS-Instructor
• Less than 1 year of experience accepted; completion of accredited nursing program with requisite clinical hours required
• Must possess strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner
• Strong time management, critical thinking, and analytical skills required
• Basic computer skills required with ability to optimize technology to support clinical care
