PCU Registered Nurse Job in Helena, MT

St. Peter's Health in Helena, MT is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Progressive Care Unit (PCU) stepdown float pool. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning November 29, 2026, offering 3x12 night shifts at $2,150.76 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a stepdown environment, managing patient ratios of 1:5–6. Your responsibilities include floating between the medical floor, stepdown/ICU, and surgical/oncology units as needed. Patients cared for will be primarily stepdown variety rather than heavy ICU-level acuity.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of stepdown experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Willingness to float across multiple units

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge nurse experience or willingness to cross-train into a charge role on the medical-surgical unit
• Additional ICU experience beyond stepdown background

Work Environment

The facility uses Epic as the EMR system. All time-off requests and schedule requests must be submitted at the time of initial application.
