Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Full-time position requiring 36 hours per week with 7 PM - 7 AM shifts
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6 on a 32-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit
• Care for post-operative and medical patients including surgical, orthopedic, urology, and medical cases
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with common procedures including hips, shoulders, and knees
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin based on protocol; cardiac drip experience preferred
• May be asked to fill Charge Nurse role with cross-training opportunities
• Every other weekend requirement with set rotation (weekends 1&3 or 2&4)
• Holiday rotation with core staff based on previous year scheduling
• Float to other Med-Surg units or Emergency Department for boarded patients when needed
• Work with equipment including CPAP, BiPap, IV pumps, pulse oximetry, and sequential compression devices
• Remote telemetry monitoring available 24/7 with Charge RN reviewing strips
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Travel experience required
• Dress code: Navy scrubs (solid color only, no embroidery or patterns), closed-toe shoes required, no crocs
• Charting system: EPIC
• Orientation includes general hospital orientation, full nursing orientation, computer training, and two 12-hour precepted shifts
