EEG Technologist - EEG Technologist

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour rotating shifts with 40 guaranteed weekly hours
• No call requirements
• Minimum two years clinical experience required, three years hospital/neurology experience preferred
• Must hold Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG.T) from ABRET or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T.) from AAET/CNCT certification
• American Heart Association CPR certification for healthcare providers required within 60 days
• Perform complex neurodiagnostic procedures including EEGs, Long Term Monitoring of Epilepsy, 24-hour EEGs, Evoked Potentials, NCS, and Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring
• Work in various hospital areas including department, bedside, Emergency Room, and Operating Room
• Demonstrate proper electrode application, patient preparation, and technical history documentation
• May be required to float to other departments based on organizational needs and competency level
• Required to pick up one additional shift during schedule period
• Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• Provide care for patients ranging from newborn through geriatric populations
• Operate sophisticated electrophysiological neurodiagnostic units and reading center devices
