Medical Technologist - Lab

Job Details:

• Support laboratory testing for a 396-bed hospital plus rehab hospital
• Day shift includes 1 tech in each department plus 1 floating between Hematology and Chemistry, along with 3 phlebotomists and 1 lab assistant
• Night shift includes 4 techs, 2 phlebotomists, and usually 1 lab assistant
• Perform STAT and routine testing on blood and other body fluids
• Work with equipment including 2 Siemens Atellica, 2 Sysmex XN3000 with slide stainer and CellaVision, 2 ACL TOPs, 1 Arkray, 1 Ortho Vision, PFA, Sofia 2, and limited microbiology equipment
• Use Meditech Expanse EMR system; Meditech Magic or Expanse experience preferred
• Must be able to work independently, troubleshoot instruments and QC, stay organized, and multi-task
• Must be a team player, punctual, able to escalate issues in real time, and problem-solve under pressure
• Rotating weekends required
• Required certification: ASCP or AMT
• Dress code: Light gray scrubs (not pewter)
